What to bring to your consultation
Please contact the surgery if you have any questions about your appointment
A referral from your GP
You must have a referral from your general practitioner to claim a medicare rebate for both your consultation and surgery if required. If you do not have a valid referral, you are not entitled to claim a Medicare rebate. Please note, we are unable to ask your GP to backdate a referral for you.
X-Rays or other Imaging
If your images are on CD, please let us know prior to your appointment, so we can load them onto our system. We can also access most imaging online, please pass on all details about the locations where you have had any past scans. If you have old images (on film), please bring them in if possible as they can be quite useful for diagnosis and treatment.
A list of your current medications
It is important for Dr Touzell to know what medications your are currently taking. In particular, any blood thinning medication such as aspirin, warfarin, apixaban (xaralto) or plavix. Please also let her know if you take steroid medication such as prednisolone.
Medicare and Health Insurance
Please bring your Medicare card so you can claim the cost of your consultation back from Medicare. If applicable, please also bring the following:
